Re:FFTA2 - June 13, 2019

Returning to a favorite series to finish a forgotten installation - Part 4

Current Playthrough

Hello sly sub riders, I hope you all have been enjoying your summer so far! I'm looking forward to having some extra free time next month and am making plans to go to a barbecue and perhaps a local waterpark during that time, I can't wait! Hopefully you're able to get out and enjoy some sunshine too. Stay hydrated!

Last time I was working on my file I loaded up on quests. I wanted to balance out my team more and give the two Gria recruits I got (Diema and Qestra) a test drive. They're arguably my favorite race, tied with Viera for sure. I just love the fact they can go to any elevation on the map! They have a great character design, too. This is one of the FFTA2 specific factors I really love and appreciate about this game, it's just a bummer it takes a while to unlock them!

I'm liking some of the maps in the new region surrounding Fluorgis. I haven't had the chance to explore it too much because a lot of the side quests I had were in the first region, but it seems promising. I'm really interested in progressing in the story, but I have to be honest, all this news about Pokemon Sword & Shield has drawn my attention away from the Final Fantasy franchise for the time being. Don't worry, I'm not going to be dropping this game or the Final Fantasy series by any means, but with the recent release of Pokemon Let's Go Eevee & Pikachu and the incoming Sword & Shield set to release this fall, I'm really missing some of the old Pokemon games. I'm going to do a new playthrough of Pokemon Yellow and take a trip down memory lane until I can get a Nintendo Switch! I'm really looking forward to trying Let's Go and Gen 8.

All this goes to say my playthrough of FFTA2 will be on a small hiatus, but you can look forward to some entries about good ol' Pokemon Yellow! Once I beat this game as well as Yellow (for the umpteenth time lol) I'll be writing my first game reviews for the sly subway. I think that's exciting, don't you? Until then, here's where I left off in my playthrough of this game!
